Apple TV+ has shared the official Platonic Season 2 trailer for the upcoming return of its hit comedy series led by Neighbors co-stars Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne. The next installment is scheduled to streaming on August 6 with the first two episodes. It will then be followed by one episode weekly releases until October 1, 2025.
“Season two picks up with everyone’s favorite pair of best friends (Rogen and Byrne) as they contend with new midlife hurdles, including work, weddings and partners in crises. The duo tries their best to be each other’s rock – but sometimes rocks break things,” reads the logline.

What happens in Platonic Season 2 trailer?
The video provides viewers with a glimpse of what to expect from Will and Sylvia’s friendship, as they continue to navigate adulthood while trying to remain in each other’s lives. It also highlights some of the chaotic duo’s new hilarious moments from the new season, including Will accidentally hitting his new girlfriend’s father in the eye with a golf ball. The cast also features Luke Macfarlane (Bros), Tre Hale, and Carla Gallo (Neighbors films), along with new Season 2 cast members Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, and Beck Bennett.
Platonic is created, written, and directed by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco. In addition to leading the cast, Rogen and Byrne are also set to serve as executive producers. It is a production by Sony Pictures Television. Stoller’s production company, Stoller Global Solutions, has an overall deal. Prior to Platonic, Byrne previously starred in another Apple TV+ series Physical, which lasted for three seasons from 2021-2023. Meanwhile, Rogen is also leading his own Apple TV+ show The Studio, which just received 23 Emmy nominations.
