The food community is returning for another R-rated chaos. Prime Video has unveiled the trailer for Sausage Party: Foodtopia Season 2, marking the highly anticipated return of Seth Rogen’s raunchy animated show.
The adult animated series served as a sequel to the divisive 2016 comedy, titled Sausage Party. Due to its surprising popularity, despite the polarizing critical reception, an episodic series was born — and it’s just as vulgar as ever. With the first season debuting to an impressive streaming record, the sophomore installment promises to arrive “hot and ready.”
What happens in the Sausage Party: Foodtopia Season 2 trailer?
The newly released trailer shows Frank Frankfurter, still grieving the loss of his lover Brenda Bunson, leaving Foodtopia after being exiled alongside his friends Barry, Sammy Bagel Jr., and Jack. In their journey to find a new home, they soon found New Foodland: a promising and picture-perfect food society where humans are domesticated. However, for Frank, the mysterious place seems a “little too perfect” — it’s suspicious.

In addition to serving as one of the show’s creators, Rogen also returned to the series as the voice for Frank. Other returning voice cast members include Edward Norton as Sammy, Michael Cera as Barry, and David Krumholtz and Alejandro Saab, all of whom reprised their voice roles from the original film.
Characters introduced in Season 1 (Will Forte as Jack, Sam Richardson as Julius, and Yassir Lester as Iced Tea) also return for Season 2. They are joined by new voice cast members Marion Cotillard, Martin Starr, Jillian Bell, Melissa Villaseñor, Andre Braugher, Haley Joel Osment, Jay Pharoah, Miles Fisher, and Patti Harrison.
