date Input Type. How to not open calendar automatically? #24

This is a great library thank you!!!

I have some questions about the date Input Type:

How do I allow the user to enter the date manually? Sometimes they also need to cut and paste into the field.
How do I make it so that the calendar doesn't automatically pop up when a field is entered? I only want the calendar to pop up if the user requests it. Similar to the HTML5 implementation.
