Ahsoka’s Eman Esfandi Possibly Reveals Ezra Bridger’s New Look in Season 2

A new behind-the-scenes photo has possibly revealed Eman Esfandi’s updated look as Ezra Bridger for Season 2 of Ahsoka. Shared on social media during ongoing production, the image seemingly offers a first glimpse at the live-action Jedi’s refreshed appearance following his return from exile.

Ezra Bridger might have a beardless look in Ahsoka Season 2

The image, shared via Esfandi’s Instagram Story and reposted by @Mandoverse_updates on Threads, shows Esfandi clean-shaven with noticeably shorter hair, a departure from his bearded, long-haired look in Ahsoka Season 1.

Esfandi first debuted as Ezra in Season 1 of Ahsoka, portraying the aged-up version of the Jedi after years stranded in another galaxy with Thrawn. His original look reflected the isolation and hardship endured during that time. With filming underway for Season 2, the new appearance aligns more closely with Ezra’s early look in the Star Wars Rebels animated series.

Ezra’s role in Season 2 will differ from his Season 1 arc. While the first season followed Ahsoka and Sabine in search of Ezra across the unknown galaxy, the finale reversed their positions. Ezra and Thrawn returned to the main galaxy, leaving Ahsoka and Sabine stranded on Peridea. Ezra is now expected to take a more active role within the New Republic.

According to Ahsoka production updates, Season 2 will continue to follow Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano and Natasha Liu Bordizzo’s Sabine Wren on Peridea. Meanwhile, Ezra may reunite with Hera Syndulla and potentially Zeb, aiding in efforts against Thrawn’s forces. The returning cast also includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Hayden Christensen.

Esfandi’s updated look has drawn comparisons to Ezra’s earlier animated appearance, specifically from Rebels Season 1 and 2. The transition may reflect the character’s evolving mindset post-rescue and his renewed mission.

Ahsoka Season 2 is currently in production and expected to stream on Disney+ in 2026.
