Prime Video has finally shared The Map That Leads to You trailer for its upcoming film adaptation of J.P. Monninger’s romantic drama novel of the same name. The movie is scheduled to start streaming on August 20, exclusively on Prime Video.
“The film is a cinematic escape into one unforgettable summer. When Heather embarks on a post-college trip across Europe with her two best friends, she’s seeking adventure before real life begins. But everything changes when she meets Jack, a charming and mysterious New Zealander traveling in the footsteps of his grandfather’s old journal,” reads the movie’s official synopsis.

The video introduces Madelyn Cline (Outer Banks) as a fresh graduate who goes to Europe for a vacation with her best friends. There, she unexpectedly falls in love with a handsome stranger, portrayed by KJ Apa (Riverdale). The trailer highlights the pair’s whirlwind romance, as they slowly realized how difficult their situation is when one of them isn’t willing to stay.
The Map That Leads to You is directed by Oscar nominee Lasse Hallström (Dear John, Safe Haven, Chocolat) from a screenplay written by Vera Herbert and Les Bohem. The cast also includesSofia Wylie (The School For Good And Evil), Madison Thompson (Ozark), Orlando Norman (Silo), and Josh Lucas (Ford v Ferrari). The movie is produced by Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, John Fischer, and Isaac Klausner, with Bohem, Hal Sadoff, Petersen Harris, Matt Luber, and Núria Valls serving as executive producers.
