TVLine reported that Graise and McEnany won’t be appearing in Tracker Season 3 and are officially out. It seems only two series regulars, Justin Hartley (Colter) and Fiona Rene (Reenie), will move forward in Season 3.
In Season 2, Graise’s Bobby was absent from many episodes, which had everyone guessing whether he had departed the show. During his initial absence, Randy revealed that Bobby has been dealing with some family stuff and has left him to aid Colter Shaw. After this, it was also revealed that Bobby went on to attend a friend’s funeral and didn’t reply to any messages sent by Colter. Graise’s Bobby eventually returned, after a seemingly long break, in Episode 16, relieving fans that he didn’t abruptly exit.
Now, in an unexpected turn of events, the original members, Bobby and Velma, are revealed to be out, with no official reasons given. However, many believe it could be due to several factors, such as budget cuts or the direction of the upcoming storyline.
In conversation with Us Weekly, Elwood Reid, executive producer, admitted the challenges of a reconfigured team and how they’re deciding to move forward. He said, “One of the challenges in Season 3 is going to be reconfiguring the team and figuring out what that team looks like.” He added, “I don’t want the show to be ‘phone a friend’ every week. I think that gets old, and Justin is always challenging me on that. He’s like, ‘Do we need to do this? Do I need to call Bobby all the time? Can I do this?’” Reid also confirmed bringing “back some characters from Seasons 1 and 2.”
