The cast of Peacemaker Season 2 seemingly includes two villains who showed up in Superman.
Following the release of James Gunn’s Superman movie, the next DCU project will be Peacemaker Season 2, which premieres on HBO Max next month. John Cena will reprise his role as Christopher Smith in the show, while Gunn wrote all eight episodes.
What Superman villains will appear in Peacemaker Season 2?
Per ComicBookMovie, some DCU fans have noticed that Terence Rosemore’s Otis and Stephen Blackehart’s Sydney appear to be hiding in the background of a Peacemaker Season 2 featurette video that was released about a month ago.
Sydney and Otis both worked for Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor in Superman. All of them were taken into custody at the end of the movie; however, given that Frank Grillo’s Rick Flag Sr. is the head of A.R.G.U.S., it seems likely that he could get them out of prison so long as they agree to work for him.
The official synopsis for the show reads, “The new season follows Christopher ‘Chris’ Smith, aka Peacemaker, the vigilante superhero, as he struggles to reconcile his past with his newfound sense of purpose while continuing to kick righteous evil-doer butt in his misguided quest for peace at any cost.”
The cast of Peacemaker Season 2 also includes Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, Steve Agee as John Economos, Sol Rodríguez as Sasha Bordeaux, Tim Meadows as Langston Fleury, Michael Rooker as Red St. Wild, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord, and more.
Peacemaker Season 2 premieres on HBO Max on August 21, 2025. Superman, meanwhile, is still currently playing in United States theaters, while the next DCU project after Peacemaker is expected to be Supergirl, which arrives in June 2026.
