Amazon MGM Studios has shared the official After the Hunt trailer for its newest psychological drama from acclaimed filmmaker Luca Guadagnino. The R-rated movie is scheduled to make its debut in the theaters in New York and LA on October 10, which will then be followed by a wide release on October 17.

What happens in the After the Hunt trailer?
The trailer introduces Oscar winner Julia Roberts as a college professor who gets involved in the middle of a school scandal after her student accuses a close colleague of crossing the line. This forces her to face her own past, as she deals with the aftermath of the scandal. The movie will also be led by Oscar nominee Andrew Garfield as Henrik Gibson and Golden Globe winner Ayo Edebiri as Maggie Price.
“The film is a gripping psychological drama about a college professor who finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when a star student levels an accusation against one of her colleagues, and a dark secret from her own past threatens to come into the light,” reads the official synopsis.
After the Hunt is directed by Guadagnino from a screenplay written by Nora Garrett. Additional cast members include Michael Stuhlbarg, Michael Stuhlbarg, Lío Mehiel, Thaddea Graham, Ariyan Kassam, Will Price, Christine Dye, and Burgess Byrd. It is executive produced by Garrett, Karen Lunder, Justin Wilkes, and Alice Dawson, with Guadagnino, Brian Grazer, and Allan Mandelbaum serving as producers.
