The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3: Prime Video’s Ban Warning Explained

The Summer I Turned Pretty is ready to return for Season 3 on Prime Video, but Amazon has a warning for fans ahead of the final season’s premiere. The series will debut on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, but this time, Amazon has clearly stated that it will not tolerate that type of behavior from fans, which previously caused distress for the cast and crew.

Why did Prime Video issue a ban warning ahead of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3?

Amazon Prime Video issued a warning to viewers against bullying and hate speech ahead of the season three premiere. In a post on its official social media handle, Prime Video stated that any form of hate speech or bullying would result in an immediate ban from the online community.

Cousins is our safe place…Everything good, everything magical. Let’s keep the conversation kind this summer,” the post read, “We have a ZERO tolerance policy for bullying and hate speech. If you engage in any of the following, you will be banned.”

The post further added some bulletins about community guidelines. This included no “targeting our cast or crew” and no “harassing or doxxing members of the community.” Some fans pointed out that the bullying has been prevalent in this community since its debut.

This particular warning ahead of the third season is likely in response to the backlash the series received. The backlash arose when The Summer I Turned Pretty introduced Elsie Fisher’s nonbinary character, Skye. The character did not appear in the original novel by Jenny Han. Author Han also addressed the bullying during the previous season in an Instagram story.

Hopefully, Prime Video will be able to better contain the negativity this time around.

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 will contain 11 episodes. It premieres on July 16, 2025, on Prime Video. Stay tuned for more updates.
