First Stranger Things Season 5 trailer could be released tomorrow
According to industry scooper @MyTimeToShineH, the trailer for Stranger Things is coming out on July 15. “A brand new trailer for Stranger Things 5 is reportedly dropping tomorrow,” they shared on X (formerly Twitter).
However, other sources suggest that it will release a day later, on July 16. For instance, Netflix Junkie cited the Stranger Things Instagram broadcast channel (via @turtymeck) to note the following enigmatic message: “Signal detected: locking in at 7-1-6.” This reportedly appears to suggest that the trailer is releasing this Wednesday.
In February 2022, before the release of the fourth season, Netflix renewed Stranger Things for the fifth and final season. The series creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, penned a letter to fans, teasing that while the exploration of the world of Stranger Things will continue, the main show will end with the fifth chapter.
“There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of Stranger Things; new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes,” the Duffer brothers wrote. “But first we hope you stay with us as we finish this tale” (via Netflix).
Stranger Things Season 5 has eight episodes. Part 1, comprising four episodes, will drop on Netflix on November 26, 2025. Part 2 will then come out on December 25, 2025, with three episodes. The series finale will begin streaming on Netflix on December 31, 2025.
