ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive Birthrite trailer, previewing Brainstorm Media’s upcoming film about a couple caught in a karmic curse.
What happens in the Birthrite trailer?
The Birthrite trailer sees a couple arriving in a quiet town to start a new beginning. However, the pair uncovers a “buried legacy and a karmic curse that threatens to claim their unborn child.”
The film is led by Michael Chernus (Severance), Alice Kremelberg (The Sinner), and Juani Feliz (Civil War). Birthrite is set to release in theaters and on demand on August 8, 2025, and is available to pre-order on Apple.

Birthrite comes from director Ross Partridge, from a script written by Patch Darragh and Erin Gann. The film stars Alice Kremelberg, Juani Feliz, Michael Chernus, Patch Darragh, Owen Campbell, Jennifer Lafleur, and Henny Russell.
“When a pregnant woman is bequeathed a home from an estranged aunt, she and her girlfriend leave the city behind to begin a new chapter,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “But when a karmic debt threatens the life of their unborn child, they soon discover their place in the cursed history of the town.”
