New Goosebumps Game Trailer Reveals Release Date

Scholastic, Sony Pictures Consumer Products, and GameMill Entertainment announced Goosebumps: Terror in Little Creek, a new video game based on the R.L. Stine book series. A brand-new trailer gives gamers a look at the upcoming game, as well as reveals the release date.

When is the release date of Goosebumps: Terror in Little Creek?

Goosebumps: Terror in Little Creek will release for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on August 29, 2025. Check out the trailer below to get a good look at the upcoming stealth adventure game.

“Enter the spine-chilling world of Goosebumps: Terror in Little Creek,” reads the game’s description. “As Sloane Spencer, a young teen caught in a town of nightmares, you’ll unravel eerie enigmas, confront sinister monsters, and navigate haunted locations inspired by R.L. Stine’s legendary book series.”

“Uncover the dark forces lurking in the shadows as you solve fiendish puzzles and evade frightful creatures — all while experiencing the signature blend of playful scares and twists that have captivated millions of Goosebumps fans, both young and young at heart, for decades,” continues the description.

There will be two editions of Goosebumps: Terror in Little Creek. The Standard Edition, which just comes with the base game and is available physically, costs $39.99. The Frightmare Edition, which is a digital exclusive, costs $49.99 and comes with a bunch of extra goodies. This includes the game, five in-game wearable masks, five slingshot skins with special trail VFX, a Concept Art Viewer, and a 3D Model Viewer.

This isn’t the first bit of content from the long-running Goosebumps franchise to release this year. At the beginning of 2025, the second season of the Goosebumps Disney+ series premiered. It is currently unknown if the series will be renewed for a third season. The first and second season are available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu right now.
