Jonathan Joss, the voice actor behind John Redcorn on King of the Hill, was killed by his neighbor in an altercation this weekend.
According to a report on TMZ, Joss and his neighbor got into a heated argument on Sunday at a house in San Antonio, Texas. In a police report on the matter, cops say that things escalated to the point of Joss’ neighbor fatally shooting Joss before fleeing in a vehicle.
Police apprehended the suspect and took him into custody while paramedics were tragically unable to save Joss. The suspect, Sigfredgo Alvarez-Cega, was reportedly charged with murder. TMZ’s report notes that detectives are now trying to figure out what exactly caused the argument, and what made it escalate.
Joss is best known for his role as John Redcorn on King of the Hill, but had also had appearances on a variety of shows throughout his careet, including ER, Parks and Recreation, Ray Donovan, Tulsa King, and more.
Most recently, Joss will appear in the upcoming Hulu revival of King of the Hill. It’s unclear how much his character will appear in the show, although he was shown in the revival’s opening credits.
