Paramount Plus has two new TV and movie releases lined up for the week of May 26 – June 1, 2025. These include the American Music Awards and Rock, Paper, Scissors Season 1.
The American Music Awards will grace Paramount Plus via CBS on May 26, 2025, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time and 5 p.m. Pacific Time. Those who have the Paramount Plus with Showtime plan can stream this event at the same time it airs on CBS, while those with other Paramount+ plans can stream the event the next day.
The AMA will go live from Las Vegas, Nevada. Actress Jennifer Lopez will host this event. Kendrick Lamar, who has a total of 10 nominations, leads this year’s nominations. Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Shaboozey, who have seven nominations each, follow Lamar in a three-way tie. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift has nominations in six categories.
Next, May 28, 2025, will see Nickelodeon’s Rock, Paper, Scissors drop on Paramount Plus.
Benson Boone, Doechii, Gracie Abrams, Jelly Roll, Tyla, Lola Young, and Teddy Swims are some of the event’s first-time nominees.
Created by Josh Lehrman and Kyle Stegina, this animated comedy follows the three titular protagonists, who are best friends and roommates. The trio often competes for various reasons but ultimately cares about each other. Moreover, each of them brings something unique to the friendship — with Rock being the heart of the group, Paper being practical about everything, and Scissors being chaotic in his interactions.
Carlos Alazraqui, Thomas Lennon, Ron Funches, JP Karliak, Melissa Villasenor, Eddie Pepitone, Ray Chase, Abby Trott, and Jonathan Lipow make up the series’ cast.
