Paramount Plus’s new TV and movie releases for May 19-25, 2025 include Couples Therapy Season 4B’s premiere and the first two seasons of Tyler Perry’s Zatima.
Tyler Perry’s Zatima Seasons 1 and 2 arrive on Paramount Plus on May 21. This series follows a couple Zac (Devale Ellis) and Fatima (Crystal Hayslett), who deal with various ups and downs in their relationship. The couple tries to forge a stronger bond. However, their attempts to do so are complicated by their new friends and past actions. Besides Ellis and Hayslett, Zatima also stars Jasmin Brown, Nzinga Imani, and Remington Hoffman.
Couples Therapy Season 4B then graces Paramount Plus on May 23. Season 4A previously aired in June 2024. This reality documentary series, helmed by Eli Despres, follows four couples engaging in weekly therapy sessions presided over by Dr. Orna Guralnik, a world-class therapist. Guralnik offers advice to the couples, while also guiding them on how to be honest with themselves and with each other.
Other releases lined up by Paramount Plus for this week include Dora the Explorer: Mermaid Adventures! and the first two seasons of American Gangster: Trap Queens.
Dora the Explorer: Mermaid Adventures! is a special episode that is an installment of the Dora the Explorer franchise — which follows the adventures of the title character, a cheery and energetic Latina girl, and her monkey friend Boots.
American Gangster: Trap Queens is a crime drama documentary series exploring the lives of some of America’s most notorious female criminals.
